Holbox Island is the perfect paradise to relax but those who need an adrenaline rush will also find that Holbox has a lot to offer to them as well. Have you heard of Kitesurfing? This is a sport that combines wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing and paragliding… All into one! Holbox is possibly one of the less known places to practice kitesurfing but from December to May the winds are ideal and you won’t find the kitesurfers mass that visit other more popular beaches around the world. This island is one of the safest beaches to practice and learn this sport as the conditions are ideal for beginners. The beautiful waters are shallow, the beach is long and wide and the wind conditions are stable, specially during the winter months. The kitesurf area in Holbox Island is about 1.5 km and its one of the best spots in the island to ride the across the water. If the wind is not the best, a boat can take you to other beaches among the island with better conditions.
